Todos Santo's special characteristics and its traditional 19th. century architecture developed into a magnet attracting in particular foreign and national artists. Special painters seem to find their inspiration in Todos Santos. These artist established their art studios and galleries in the community of Todos Santos and mix internationally influenced fine arts with the national and local handcrafts. The Festival de la Artes (Art festival Todos Santos), held every year in February,is the annual highlight of the region. Many of the paintings and sculptures created throughout the year are on display at that time in Todos Santos - truly a Pueblo Magico.

Todos Santos, a picturesque community approximately 90 kilometers (50 miles) southwest of La Paz, is an easy drive to and recommended for at least a one day tour to see. This small town with rocky roads and colorful antique houses is surrounded by mango trees and date palm trees. At the center of town the main square is adjoined by the Jesuit mission of Santa Rosa de Las Palmas which was founded in 1733. It is not the original building yet it shows the artistic and architectural qualities of the ancient missioners.
