Correspondents’ Picks: Todos Santos, Mexico
Framed by mango trees, palm trees and pink and blue haciendas, this oasis town, with its array of galleries, restaurants and uncorrupted natural beauty, offers visitors a breathtaking haven away from Baja’s more touristy locales. In 2006, Todos Santos was named a “Pueblo Magico” or magical village by Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism. After a brief sojourn there, the town’s undeniable charm will leave no doubt as to why. Surf or otherwise enjoy the sea at Los Cerritos beach, where the swelling waves are home to world-class surfers. It’s also a prime spot for whale watching in the winter months. If you want to try your luck at riding the waves, check out Pescadero Surf Camp. Their certified instructors should have you up on the board in no time.
STROLL along Calle Benito Juarez, the main street. Begin your walk at the famous Hotel California. Though urban legend claims it as the inspiration for The Eagles’ song of the same name, these rumours have been shot down by Eagles’ singer and guitarist Don Henley. This, however, has not stopped a yearly pilgrimage of Eagles’ fans who make their way to this charming boutique hotel, which does nothing to dispel these rumors by blaring the infamous song on the sidewalk outside.

Weather on Todos Santos Info site
This site is a new design / template on a CMS (Content Management System) for the Todos Santos directory, that allows us to change or add content faster and on a regular schedule. This site is recently newly published and we are still working on different layout features. We have decided against a weather page just for Todos Santos because reliable information is nowhere to be found and what is displayed otherwise are rough figures based on the greater area. Todos Santos Biz has been taken into the Infotheque Network, a Baja California Sur information and marketing platform and we do have one great weather page at the La Paz Infotheque. See this weather page for detailed hurricane information, forecasts etc.
Surf’s up in Todos Santos and Pescadero!

The two most popular surf breaks in the area called Los Cerritos and San Pedrito, both are south of Todos Santos near the small community of Pescadero. While the water is warmer than further north, wet suits are definitely needed in the winter and spring months when surfing the Todos Santos pacific waves. Todos Santos - Pueblo Magico
Todos Santos, a picturesque community approximately 90 kilometers (50 miles) southwest of La Paz, is an easy drive to and recommended for at least a one day tour to see. This small town with rocky roads and colorful antique houses is surrounded by mango trees and date palm trees. At the center of town the main square is adjoined by the Jesuit mission of Santa Rosa de Las Palmas which was founded in 1733. It is not the original building yet it shows the artistic and architectural qualities of the ancient missioners.
